  1. Hi Rick...Cant wait for the new album...
Any plans for overseas shows in light of the new album? Europe?
(It's been almost a decade since Oct'06 but i can still recall your amazing gig..)

    greetings from Greece,

  2. Thanks! I think it is doubtful that we make it to Europe. The desire is there, but time is probably not.
That show in 2006 was special and unusual. I had ruptured my right eardrum playing with Yo La Tengo. In Athens I could not hear my voice coming from my mouth or my guitar playing. I had to go completely from memory. I could only hear myself if I went to my amp and bent down with my good ear. That said, I remember it being a loud and energetic show with a great audience.
Hope to see you again some day!
    Rick

  3. Wow!..i'm sorry..that sounds painful.. Yo La Tengo has finally gone punk ?? :)
What i can recall out of that night was all of us being thrilled after the gig, a metal-fan guy serving as the audio engineer of the club (!!), your fantastic joy division cover and a short talk i had with Janet about Freakwater...

Rick, let me bring to your attention an old Greek band you may want to check
(mid to late 80s.. with a sad story behind the front-man who, yes, had a weird accent.. )..
Their second album occasionally sounds pretty close to the paisley
    underground sound (!!)
