"Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of well-being & walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it." Kierkegaard
I first discovered this life-changing quote in one of Jim Harrison's books years ago, and reading a new Harrison book carries with it a very similar feeling to walking. Nothing is urgent. Ideas pop into my head. I breathe.
The new one is called, The Ancient Minstrel, but if you've never read Harrison, go back and check out The Woman Lit By Fireflies. A Great American writer.
